The quest for a well-appointed guest room

I hate that we don't have a real bed in the big guest room (it's just a mattress/boxspring on a bedframe currently). So that item has been on my list for a while.

I love this bed...now I just need Ethan Allen to put it on sale for about 60% off.

Can't decide which I like better!! This one's from Z Gallerie

And wouldn't one of these rugs be a nice change for the room?

After getting rid of the chest of drawers and moving the bookcase, I'd also take a pair of these:
This one was from Pier 1 but I don't think they have it anymore...I have seen something similar at HomeGoods though!

Can't get lucite off the brain...

I am seriously craving lucite right now. Besides that console table from CB2...I'd really like to welcome the following items into my home:

Dabney Lee Recipe Box - After recently spilling enchilada sauce on my laptop while cooking, I've decided to avoid bringing electronics into the kitchen and work off of an old school recipe card. These would definitely make for cute kitchen jewelry too.  With so many adorable pattern, color, and monogram options, I'm breaking out into a nervous sweat trying to pick one overall style. What a great gift this set would make!

Dabney Lee Lucite Trays - I'd like one of these for my desk and another in the larger size to serve in a variety of capacities (booze, magazine organization, etc.). Cute and practical, these would also be fun presents to give and receive.
My fav patterns...

Favorite monogram styles...

Iomoi also has cute lucite trays in 3 sizes:
small tray: 8-1/2 x 11 x 2-3/4
large tray: 11 x 17 x 2-3/4
ottoman tray: 20 x 30 x 3

Now I just need one of these companies to make tissue box covers!

Palmer & Sons

New favorite site sent to me by my friend Megan, who is truly a fashion maven and one of the most stylish ladies I know. These are some very cool leather goods for guys or girls - I adore the wood accents. Besides the obvious aesthetic benefits, you can also customize these bad boys to increase functionality based on your needs. Could be the culmination of Clay's hunt for the perfect briefcase!

Also, kind of a jacked up image, but this is a unique laptop sleeve.

Lots of random adjustments need to be made around the house. For example, most accent pieces got pushed to the bottom of the priority list when initially shopping and planning. I tried to use what we already had, but now that most of the big stuff is out of the way, I'm ready to focus on finding replacements for those pieces that aren't quite right. With that in mind, I've been cruising sites like CB2 that have fun, unique, and affordable things. Some items I'm considering...

Desi Marble Side Table on sale for only $100! Could be great in the guest room as nightstands.Console conundrum...with the new, 72" round dining room table, I'm going to need a new console table that isn't too deep. Options:

Super skinny Smart Console TablePeekaboo Clear Console Fresca Console Table
Axel Two-Tone Stool Simple, cheap, and multifunctional...I could think of a few places for a pair.

That's right, I can't get enough. Check out these cute vases by the Omaggio collection:
