Anyone out there in the market for dining chairs? What's the most important attribute for you? Comfort? Style? Practicality? Price? Speaking of price...dining chairs are EXPENSIVE, aren't they??
We are hosting Thanksgiving and have no dining chairs yet ahhh...but price is the driving factor at the moment so I am on the lookout for a great cheap find that I can possibly tweak a bit myself, we'll see how that goes
ReplyDeleteYes they are! But I love all of those....
ReplyDeleteWe are anxiously awaiting our Martine chairs from Restoration, which I believe you have in your dining room. I just hope they get here before Thanksgiving! I opened my Horchow catalogue today, saw the Green Scroll chairs, and immediately wanted to place a second order for the breakfast area. They are so interesting and would give a great pop of color. Can't wait to see what you choose!
ReplyDeleteHoly wow, I love #9. I like alot of them but that #9 is soooooooo cute!
ReplyDeleteKatie - Have you been checking out Craigslist and Ebay Classifieds? Also, I love a siple Parsons chair with a slipcover and those are pretty reasonable. Ballard and Z Gallerie nice-looking versions.
ReplyDeleteCourtney - I'm with you! #9 is my favorite and of course, it's probably the most expensive of the bunch!
ReplyDeleteI love the chippendale chairs! Especially if the table has more of a modern vibe. All your choices are gorgeous. Since people like to linger after dinner, I'd say comfort is a must. I also love the tuft white ones (I think it was 2?) with the arms. Keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of chairs, love your feedback on the rocker I purchased for my 2 year olds room. www.lovinthat.blogspot.com
None of those spoke to me personally. We had to find twelve matching chairs for our dining room and it took almost two years. A local dealer found us nine beautiful oak chairs and he copied the remaining three. We enjoy that they are unique. Nothing worse than having the same dining room as your Sister.
ReplyDelete#9! Wow! When we wanted to get teal chairs, we looked and looked and looked and looked and they were impossible to find! But you say they're the most expensive? Of course.
