Talisker on Main

I just got back from a ski trip to Park City, which is the reason behind my blogging hiatus. It was a fun little vacation...my only regret is that I wish I'd eaten at more of the restaurants in the area. To me, that's one of the best ways to experience a new place.

One of the eateries I should have worked into the schedule is Talisker on Main. After walking by it, I was immediately drawn to the black and white striped awnings and the soot + ivory exterior paint palette. I peeked inside and loved the chic, vintage style...plus the menu looked amazing. I was lazy and didn't bring my camera, but luckily others captured the super charming aesthetic essence of the place:

Lots of endearing, homey touches like beadboard wall paneling, custom, hand-painted framing, restoration light fixtures, and tin ceilings...

This window-esque photo display is awesome. You can read all about it here.

I'm not sure where this is, but it's amazing. The counters are really cool and I'm dying to know if they are zinc. I think it's part of the Talisker Club, but the site isn't offering any information to confirm that.

Here is one example of the many hand-painted touches that were incorporated in the design. This painted "runner" was done by Color + Surface.

I love the mix of wood tables and marble cafe tables. The chair seats are interesting...probably comfy, but definitely lacking in looks.

A shot of the kitchen...looks very French to me with the checkered tile walls.

Don't you love the Talisker on Main aesthetic? Any favorite elements? Besides the thick, Calacatta marble bistro tables, I love the shapely green banquettes. Have you eaten there? Any other Park City restaurants that I should put on my list for the next trip?
