Looking for new bedding for the new year?

Try this one from Z Gallerie. I'm partial to the embroidered "Modern Key" portion of the set, so I think they need to step it up and get the duvet in that pattern.

Twitter Treats

Saw these cute little cane votives on the Lucky Mag Twitter feed. So pretty and they're just $5 a piece, making them budget friendly gifts or party decor.  See...Twitter does serve a purpose :)

The Wonderful World of Cheap Fabric

I love fabric...more specifically, I love patterned fabric. In small doses through pillows, curtains, and lampshades, it's such an easy way to make a room modern and fresh. More often than not, the patterned fabric I lust after is insanely expensive (i.e. KWID and Windsor Smith).

So, I was elated to find Premier Fabrics - a place with great selection and exceptional prices. Most styles are $8-10 per yard!

This small bench -- formerly the property of my grandmother Evelynn -- needs a little facelift. It's just might be getting lacquered and dressed up with one of the fabrics below.

More Design + Build

More Design + Build, is a group in Dallas that has impressed me with their classic, yet fresh and unique projects...many of which are remodels. I would L O V E to have them handle the construction of our bathroom remodel (and our kitchen while I'm making unrealistic requests) -- although I suspect they might be a bit out of our price range.

Check out their site to see more photos. My only request is that More D + B posts more examples of their magic. Their work is not merely aesthetically pleasing, it's also creative and unique. They are daring with materials and thoughtful with layouts. It's obvious that they keep form and function in balance when designing. Here are a few examples of the projects that they've completed...

One of my all-time favorite kitchens. Love those glossy white Viking appliances!

I'm jealous of that upper-level terrace/patio.

Timeless and clean white kitchen.

On Lakewood Boulevard, this gorgeous home fits right in on this historic street. Check out the before pic on their site.

Lots of personality here. More always uses the best light fixtures.

They also pick the best tile!

Crush

I seriously want to welcome this chandelier into the Knight house....more specifically, into our bedroom.

Yet another reason why I'd love to be a Houstonian

High Fashion Home - got to duck in there during our trip to H-town for Jesus' birthday celebrations. It's quite an awesome place for furniture, fabric, draperies, mirrors, clothes, gift, etc. Multiple floors of shopping heaven. I hear that it's similar to the famed ABC Home in NYC -- a place on my L O N G list of shit to do on my next visit to that glorious city. Anyhow...some things that grabbed my attention at HFH (pardon the sub-par iPhone pics):
