Cooking up a Dining Room

After getting lots of great feedback from the Room Recipe post last week, I figured that I'd better put together another one! This time our dining room is the dish. As with the bedroom post, inexpensive alternatives to the sources used are provided since some of my stuff isn't available to buy.

 1. Paint - Home Depot Behr Paint & Primer in One - Fashion Gray UL260-6
2. Chandelier - Z Gallerie - Tuxedo Chandelier
3. Rug - FLOR - Side by Side
4. Chairs - Restoration Hardware - Martine Dining Chairs
5. Table - Custom 70" round, solid Walnut wood
6. Lamps - Home Goods
7. Mirror - Antique
8. Buffet - World Market
9. China Cabinet - Macy's
10. Prints - Taschen - Temple of Flora

Lighting - Overstock Fabric Shade Chandelier

Chairs - Home Decorators Becca Nailhead Dining Chair

Round Table - Z Gallerie Sonoma Dining Table

Lamps - Target White Accent Lamp

Sideboard - IKEA Trollsta
China Cabinet - IKEA Edland

Let me know if you have any other ideas for "ingredient" substitutes :)

Finally, so sorry for the lack of posts over the past week. After being out of town, I've been trying to catch up on things and haven't made much progress. Hopefully I'll get it together before Friday!

  1. i love your dining room, very glamorous. mine is similar, just painted Apparition, by Benjamin Moore. And i have a white table, with white slipper chairs. I like how you added the black and white striped rug...i was having a hard time with choosing a rug! thanks for the photos. you have very nice taste! :)

  2. Hi! First off, you have a beautiful home and I love how you mix antiques & modern/graphic elements throughout!!!
Secondly, I just purchased the Becca chair for my dining room...just and FYI for your readers-you can purchase the exact same chair from Overstock.com for $189 and the shipping is 2 BUCKS!!! They are absolutely beautiful...both sites say the fabric is gray but they are more of a stone color. I love them! Thanks again!! Terri B.

  3. Terri B - thanks for the heads-up on the Overstock chairs! I looked and could only find them in black leather. Please post a link to the fabric ones if they're still available on there :)

  4. Beautiful dining room! I especially love your rug. I really like your style...

And I like you even better for recommending that dining table from Z Gallerie :-) We got that table just last week and we love it!

  5. Oh no :{ ...you're right...I typed in the title as well and couldn't find them. So I looked back for the confirmation order in my inbox...here's the link below. They are out-of-stock, but they said they would let you know when back in stock (if you leave an email)!

Oh I forgot to tell you...I love your dining room!!! :) Terri B.

  6. Love Love Love your style. And all the recs are also perfect!

  7. Just out of curiosity...what drapery would you pair with this if you have windows?
