Paris: home decor shopping

Besides Zara Home, I found a new favorite housewares shop while in France. It's called Flamant and it's amazing. The store in Paris is on Rue Saint-Honoré so I stumbled upon it while cruising the infamous shopping street. Here are some photos of the gorgeous place...

They have the best bookcases...like the white one on the far wall. It has built-in sconces AND a library ladder!

I really wanted a few of those chrome porthole mirrors but couldn't think of the right place for them in our house. I'm also infatuated with the staircase.

The look nearly identical to a style made by Baker that I've long been coveting. Ironically, the Baker version is called the Paris Club Chair.

Great striped wall paper.

I loved the wall color in this room, especially how it contrasts with the black French doors.

I desperatly want this vanity...the rounded corners are fantastic.

 Pretty bath accessories.

Very cool trestle-legged drafting table.

They had a great little open kitchen area set up and I fell in love with the mixed metals on this range.

Lampshades and gorgeous fabric...

Finally, they have a beautiful paint line...seriously, those are almost too chic to be paint cans!

Here's an image from their website that I just had to include:

The other store that I really liked was called Maison de Famille. They had a good mix of home decor that had a comfortable, yet funky style - the lamps were particularly notable. They also had some cute clothes.

Loved this over-sized one.

This looked like it had rivets on the base.

Their tableware was pretty...this is where my little butter dish came from :)

I like those leather club chairs and the enormous coffee table.
