Lakehouse Love - Part 2

Today I'll be continuing a tour of the fabulous lakehouse that was featured yesterday. Let's dive right in and get started in the kitchen. I wouldn't call the overall style retro or modern...but it's somewhere in between. I love that it's predominately white, but subtle color is brought in through the countertops and backsplash.

This bar area is perfect for hanging out and also works well as the buffet line when entertaining. Pretty cool, isn't it?

Close-up of the awesome, industrial counter supports...

The color of the glass tile backsplash is ideal for a kitchen...it always look fresh and clean. Notice the handy little step/ledge that connects the backsplash with the counter.

This is a nice prep sink set over to the side of the kitchen.

The countertops are a gorgeous shade of stained concrete...it's a bluish gray.

This buffet/console table was custom-made. The wood used on top came from an old bowling lane!

Bar cart from Restoration Hardware was purchased after seeing my scouting report back in April :) In this shot you also get a good view of the beautiful wood floors, which are reclaimed pine.

The house has gorgeous bathrooms...and all bedrooms have an en suite bathroom, so there's no awkward sharing going on.

The vanity counter is Corian

I love this undermount sink set-up...I'm pretty sure it's Kohler.

I especially love the custom tile work. It's very simple, however, the use of chair rail, pencil rail, and border elements creates such a polished look. All tile was purchased from Daltile, who also helped with the tile design.

Shower in the master bath...more great tile in here. I love the blue, of course!

This was the bathroom connected to the room where we stayed...such a fun mirror over the vanity!

Hope you enjoyed the tour! Anything in particular that you liked best?

  4. I am a tiny bit obsessed with the piece of furniture made from an old bowling alley. What a genius idea. I may just have to steel that down the road. Thanks for sharing! I really enjoyed seeing all of these photos. Where is this Lake House?
