More is More in Holiday Decor

Sorry for the lack of posting yesterday, the December stress is kicking in and my to-do list didn't allow for blogging time. I'm sure you all managed to get through the day without me ;) Anyhow, today I'm here to report that the Christmas decorating quest continues at the Knight house. I picked up a few things over the weekend for our den including this darling mini tree from Target. I love white trees but I'm not ready to commit to a full-sized one. So, this one was perfect and only $8! Gotta love China for making Jesus' birthday decorations so affordable, right?

The tiny turquoise and silver ornaments also came from Target.

I ghetto-rigged a little tree skirt from a fabric remnant.

I grabbed this big ol' wreath at Michael's since it was 50% off. The frosted globe lights are from the Christmas light mecca, Target.

I also did the outside of our house...well, I decorated the front porch and I think that's about as good as it's going to get this year. I've attempted to recreate the wreath shown below...the photo graced the cover of an old J. Crew holiday catalog. Normally I'm a white light kind of girl, but for some reason I LOVE the multicolored madness going on in that photo. Will report back with photos of my version tomorrow!

Still haven't bought a single present...yikes! What about you all - how's your holiday to-do list coming?

  5. Target does seem to be turning into a mecca of sorts, but, I love that store. The wreath on the mirror casts such a nice effect.

  6. Love the look of the wreath!! Two random questions from items in these photos: 1) where is that leather bench from and 2) where is that white lacquer box from? Both things have been on my must-have list for a while and I can't seem to find a decent price on either.

  8. I love your blog and your sense of style! Could you tell me where you found your console table behind the sectional? It is just what I have been looking for.

  9. Beautiful! Another random question for you...are the lights on wreath battery powered? Or how are you hiding the cord? I can't seem to find good battery powered light options...but can't stand to have a cord hanging down! :)

    Thanks!
