Anyhow, I purchased the dishwasher through Lowe's while they were running a 20% discount on Energy Star appliances. I also paid them to arrange the installation and that went very smoothly so I'm a happy camper!
You also might've noticed that there is a crazy new rug in the kitchen. A Calypso Home store just opened here in Dallas ( YAY!!) and upon my first visit, I couldn't help but pick up one of the zig zag jaipuri rugs I've long been obsessing over. Even though I have a pretty pink-free house, I think the magenta kind of works in here. It actually picks up the pink in the botanical prints on the walls of the breakfast area...
What do you think of the pink rug? I think it's pretty fun and if I get tired of it, I can always move it into the guest room.
Love it! I always struggle with where to put 4x6 rugs so that they don't look too small for the space. This one looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteWhoa! $300 for a 4x6 rug. Um, no!
ReplyDeletepretty and simple. love it!
ReplyDeleteSo you are in love with your Bosch dish washer. Best we have ever had!!! Pink is great with the white and black kitchen.
ReplyDeleteThat color looks so perfect in your kitchen! I'm in Dallas and can't wait to go check out Calypso!

Love the pink, looks great!
ReplyDeleteI always worry about using a rug in the kitchen. My husband likes to eat there without using a plate so I am always cleaning the floor.
ReplyDeleteBut your rug sure looks pretty in your kitchen. I'm jealous.
It looks great, it adds punch to the kitchen, the size looks perfect, and as you said, you can always move it to another room!
ReplyDeletelove the rug and congrats on the new upgrade! I wish our landlord would spring for a shiny new Bosch like yours!
ReplyDeleteLOVE it. Dying to check out Calypso Home.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great! One thing though -- how do you manage to keep kitchen rugs clean? A few years ago, I went with a vinyl rug (from Chilewich) because I couldn't stand how dirty my previous rug got in the kitchen!
ReplyDeleteVictoria - that was a smart move on the Chilewich rug for the kitchen! I've had a light sisal one in there for over a year and shockingly it hasn't seen that much abuse. Besides cooking and traffic, our three dogs pretty much camp out on the rug. With this one I'm considering having it treated since there is a lot of ivory space on it. But even if I don't, it's so lightweight and easy to fold up that I could take it to be cleaned pretty easily if needed.
