Oscar de la Renta Home

I got an email yesterday from 1st Dibs that contained an image of my favorite ad for the Oscar de la Renta Home fabric line by Lee Jofa.

I clicked through to see what the deal was and found my way to an auction for the skirts that were featured in the ad. I adore the chevron patterned one, of course! Bidding will be hosted online from September 7, 2010 through November 30, 2010 at biddingforgood.com with an opening bid of $750 for each item. Unfortunately, I'm not really in the market for a floor length skirt at the moment...if I was, I'd definitely bid :)

Proceeds of the auction will go to Casa del Niño, which was founded in 1982 by Oscar de la Renta and Xiomara Menendez and to help impoverished children in La Romana and surrounding communities in the Dominican Republic.

This fabric looks amazing...I love all those little pleats.

Oscar de la Renta is one of the most talented fashion designers of our time so it makes perfect sense that his home collection would be executed with the same panache as his exquisite runways looks. Like his clothes, the style of the home collection is exotic and unique, yet always remains classic and sophisticated.

Besides the fabric line with Lee Jofa, he also has a furniture line with Century. Here are some of my favorites...

I'd change the wood finish, but other than this chair is perfect.

I'll take one in turquoise velvet please.

This little Pagoda Canopy would be really great over a bed...I'd hang curtains from the inside and drape them around the sides of the head board.

What do you think of Oscar de la Renta's Home collection? I adore it, however, most of the pieces are WAY out of my price range.

Will anyone be bidding on a skirt??
