Best of the Web: High Street Market

If you haven't shopped High Street Market yet, you probably should get on that. They sell fantastic new and vintage merch and the thing I like best about it is that you can find unique pieces at very reasonable prices. The assortment isn't huge, but there is tons of variety. You'll find furniture, textiles, lightinghardware, and everything in between. It's also an excellent source for well-priced lampshades, especially black linen drum and rectangular shapes. Here are some selections from their current lineup...

Blue Willow Porcelain Tray - Higgins Faceted Table Lamp - Vintage Owl Door Knocker

Herringbone Sisal Runner - Brass Palm Candlesticks - Greek Key Throw Blanket - Vintage Black Chest of Drawers

I'm dying over this 1960s Paul McCobb Credenza...

And to keep you coming back to their site, High Street Market offers a tempting Daily Deal. For example, Monday's deal was a 50% price slash on these super cool Silver Leaf Agate Bookends, which made them only $49.50!

Too many fun goodies, don't you think? I'm obviously a bit fixated on all things brass at the moment! What are your faves?

If you plan on spending lots 'o money at High Street Market, then I advise you to follow proprietress Kelly Robson on Twitter and Facebook because she posts flash promos like free shipping and you won't want to miss out on those!

Shopping C. Wonder

A while back, I posted about the opening of C. Wonder, a store (now there are multiple stores) in New York that carries private label clothing, jewelry and accessories, shoes, bags, and last but not least, items for the home.

Like most modern retailers, C. Wonder sells their wares online and I've been doing some browsing. I like their vibe...the brand has a lot of personality. Most of the items for sale are fun, trendy, and a bit sassy. It's an awesome place to buy gifts and also keep it in mind when you are hunting for basics like solid colored pillows or silver photo frames. The prices are super low...in fact, the super low prices have me wondering about the quality of the merch and whether or not it's all made in China. I suppose I'll have to hold judgement on those aspects until I order something or make my way to NYC!

Here are some of the items I liked best from the Home & Decor section of the site:

Ginger Jars - $38-78

What do you think of C. Wonder's style? Have any of you shopped there yet? Any feedback on the quality? I'm dying to go check it out!
