I recently celebrated my 31st birthday and one of my favorite gifts I received was a Rosenthal mini vase. Legendary tabletop brand Rosenthal, a 130 year-old company, is staying hip and relevant with this rather new and somewhat edgy collection of mini vases, of which mine is a part. I was given the one called Surface, which is a matte white Cubist-looking little cutie. All of them are an adorable and utilitarian 3-4" tall (bud vases are fantastic for extending the life of cut flowers). Here's mine on my desk...
I totally want to collect all of them now because they'd look stunning as a collection, especially against a dark table or backdrop (I'm picturing them filled with hot pink buds on a marble mantel against black walls)!
If you're itching to collect them too, the itty bitty vases can be purchased directly from Rosenthal or at Bloomingdale's.

The Versatile Vase
As many of you know, I'm a contributor on the HomeGoods Openhouse blog. In an effort to incorporate seasonal themes into the blog, HG sent all of the bloggers a surprise accessory that we were to play around with and write about. Lucky for me, the common thread for the different items was to be the color orange! I ended up receiving this glossy, oversized bamboo vase.
As you can see from the above pics and also on my Openhouse post, I ghetto-rigged an "arrangement" with some green filler from the yard and then tried it in a few different rooms. Since the vessel is so large, I started thinking that it could make for a cool accent table. Luckily, one of my side tables has a removable marble insert, so I used that for the top.
Here it is in the guest bedroom...
and then in the living room...
I probably won't use it as a table since I really don't need an accent table, but I like the idea since the color and shape are so fun. What do you think?

Ceramic Bliss
Yesterday, a lovely reader passed on a link to a gorgeous chevron-patterned ginger jar (aka tibor) from Emilia Ceramics. I adore ceramic pieces, so after oogling over the ZigZag Tibor, I proceeded to browse the rest of their merchandise and I found some great stuff. All colorful and unique, these pieces would definitely add a dose personality to a space.
Tibores - I want them all!
They make lamps out of them too...genius.
Other pretty things found on the site...
Capelo Canister - This would fit perfectly in my last bathroom mood board!
I love their planters. I'm always so disappointed by the lackluster styles that I usually see at garden stores, so these are a breath of fresh air. Now I only wish they would make larger ones so I can get some for our front porch!

What do you think? Any favorite pieces or patterns?
Thanks for the link Tori :)
