I feel the need to tell you all about Dallas native Paul Schneider's exquisite ceramic pieces. Just when I thought I was totally sick of all things chevron, I spotted one of Paul's pieces arranged amongst some gorgeous Waylande Gregory and Kelly Wearstler goodies at Forty Five Ten. My chevron-jadedness flew out the window and I immediately wanted one of the big gold zig-zag vases as soon as I laid eyes on it.

Like my beloved WG and KW, PS puts metallic glaze and bold graphic patterns to good use and produces some swanky yet fun lookin' vessels and objets. I would highly recommend that you consider investing in one of Paul's works if you're on the hunt for a statement-making accessory or two (and he also makes killer lamps). Pretty cool stuff, isn't it? Any favorite pieces? I'm hoping to see more lamps. Would love one in a pattern like the concentric half-circles like in the pic above. And I'm wondering if there is rose gold glaze...then my hoarding tendencies would really flare up!

Just when I think I'm tired of seeing Jonathan Adler goods (they are EVERYWHERE now), JA puts out some irresistible new buyables and I'm sucked back into the love affair. Here are the recent releases that top my list:

The new colors of Bargello pillows are really fun. I especially like the blue/pink/orange color palette because it's playful but not too over the top. I'd use it for an adult space but it would also be really cute for a playroom or a nursery.

I'm also madly in love with the Channing Three Drawer Console. The lucite and polished nickel knobs are bananas. Besides serving as a console, I also think this piece would make a fantastic vanity or a slim desk. Here it is in a mod JA-tastic vignette, which I love aside from the scary devil lamps...

Adler has created a brand with a carefree, vivacious aesthetic and I'm drawn to that, the vivid colors, and the mid-century influence. Despite the overexposure of the brand, I'll always love it!

Rosenwald's Rugs

So, it's hardly been a week since I declared a moratorium on rug talk and I'm already calling it off. I'm back to flat-weave rugs again, but I promise, these are spectacular and certainly worth talking about!

They are designed by Jill Rosenwald, who is a very talented designer and artist. I have one of her ceramic bowls and I love everything on her Etsy shop. She is brilliant with colors and patterns, so it makes perfect sense that she would design gorgeous rugs. For a while now, she has been working with Surya to produce a line of rugs (which are very reasonably priced), and she's continuing to work with them on some new flat-woven designs. She offered a sneak peek of the soon-to-be-released rugs on her blog, In Flagrante. According to her blog, she just got the following images of the rugs from India...

This pattern is fabulous, very classic and chic, but still modern. It's the same as the one on the tray below.

Ceramic Bliss

Yesterday, a lovely reader passed on a link to a gorgeous chevron-patterned ginger jar (aka tibor) from Emilia Ceramics. I adore ceramic pieces, so after oogling over the ZigZag Tibor, I proceeded to browse the rest of their merchandise and I found some great stuff. All colorful and unique, these pieces would definitely add a dose personality to a space.

I love their planters. I'm always so disappointed by the lackluster styles that I usually see at garden stores, so these are a breath of fresh air. Now I only wish they would make larger ones so I can get some for our front porch!
